Washington Post: Viral photo from Beltway trucker protest actually from an event last May

QuoteA picture circulating in some corners of the Internet shows a huge convoy of tractors, tractor trailers and pickup trucks seemingly bound for Capital Beltway as part of a trucker protest.

QuoteThe only problem? The photo was actually taken in May at a Make-a-Wish Foundation fundraiser in Lancaster, Penn.

Obviously not the DC beltway. There are no 4 lane sections of the beltway anymore are there?

Thanks largely to the screwed-up politics of Montgomery County, Maryland, there is one place where the Inner Loop (only) narrows to two lanes, within the Pooks Hill interchange in Bethesda (I-270/Md. 355) here.

All other parts of the Capital Beltway are at least three lanes in each direction, and there are long sections that are 10 or 12 lanes wide (at the Wilson Bridge and along the new HOV/Toll lanes in Fairfax County).
