What is a roadgeek? What kinds of things do roadgeeks do?

NE2

pre-1945 Florida route log

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

There isn't really any one definition that would (or could apply).

Here's what I think: Any person that has an extended interest in any of the following topics:

  • Roads
  • Planning of (future) roads
  • Road signs
  • Roadway features (delineation, intersection design, etc.)
  • Numbered highway systems (US Highways, Interstate Highways, etc.)
  • Traffic signaling devices
  • History of old roads

There's definitely more than what I listed here, but this is how I would describe the term 'roadgeek' (at least lightly). There are definitions of 'Road Enthusiasm' on Wikipedia, which is basically synonymous with roadgeek.
Life would be boring if we didn't take an offramp every once in a while

A weird combination of a weather geek, roadgeek, car enthusiast and furry mixed with many anxiety related disorders
