Just a tad under 80 miles as the crow flies, which is actually further than the nearest country line, which is about 33 miles north in the middle of Lake Ontario, or 77 miles west to the nearest bridge crossing.

According to the ruler tool on Google Earth, 1.16 miles from the front door of my building to NJ border.

doorknob60

40 miles to the OR/ID state line. 44 miles by car, very close to a straight shot.

52.64 to Ontario in the middle of Lake Ontario.

72.44 to Pennsylvania.

Used to live 1.96 miles away from the WI/MN border (just offshore in Lake Superior; 2.45 miles to the nearest bridge crossing) and commute across it every day.  Best commute I had until I started walking to work for my current job.

77 miles to the Indiana-Ohio border along I-70 in Richmond.
It's two miles more to reach the border along I-74.

As the crow flies, I'm 143 miles from the WA/OR state line but only 47 miles from the maritime Canadian border in the Salish Sea or 59 miles from the land border.

By car, it's 174 miles to Oregon via the SR 433 bridge in Longview and 70 miles to Canada at the Peace Arch.

MikeTheActuary

As the crow flies, about 4½ miles to the Southwick Notch of the CT/MA state line.

I'm 2 miles from the border formerly claimed by the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

DandyDan

24.5 miles straight north to the Minnesota border.

46 miles (as the crow flies) to Michigan

It's probably half that distance or less to the line between Kelleys Island and Pelee Island.

PHLBOS

3 miles, as the crow flies to the NJ Border... midway through the Delaware River.

Tybee Island is 73 miles as the closest point in GA as the crow flies. 126 mile drive. 112 to North Carolina up at Little River. 129 mile drive.

mgk920

I'm not sure on the distance, but it is about 1:15 drive time from here to the farthest upstream of the three Michigan-Wisconsin interstate bridges on the Menomonee River in Marinette, WI.

It's 29 miles to the line in the water just south of Middle Island, and 30 miles to Middle Island itself.

For some reason including the international border didn't occur to me.
