Announcing the Aurora-Naperville, Illinois road meet.  Two of Illinois's largest cities (#2 and #5, respectively) with two separate (but nearby) downtown areas and their unique features along the Fox and DuPage Rivers, and everything in between.  Including, but not limited to:

- Lincoln Highway Shelter
- IL-59 DDI
- IL-56 Freeway
- Naperville Riverwalk

Regardless of the date, the met will start at 11:00 am Central at Sharko's BBQ, IL-59 and 111th Street, Naperville.

I am maybe but my most preferred Saturday is May 19 since I could tie this in with one of my St Louis area toy shows on Sunday, Memorial Day weekend is another good option since I could use Memorial Day as another paid day off and maybe make a side trip to Wisconsin to get some counties and visit my cousin and her family

Choosing the middle three and pretty much staying open.  Early in the year to be definite but It's a day trip for sure - an overnight would be added if I want to finish some highways along the way. (US-30)

I'm a maybe. Not voting because there's a high chance I won't be able to swing it, but I want to stay in the loop in case I can get out there.

The date doesn't matter to me so much as what I have planned this summer, which could be my first major foreign trip if I'm able to go through with it.

Nevermind on the May 26 date, got a toy show lined up in Chattanooga that day now.

Chose the first three but right now I'm open for any of these dates except June 2nd.  Coming from Detroit, so I would drive at least halfway Friday evening after work, stop overnight, then have a long Saturday -- finish the drive in, do the meet, and drive home.

This sounds interesting. I may try and make it to this meet.

I voted for May 12, May 19, and June 2.

Shoot, I didn't realize a meet was happening near to me (close being within six hours from me, one way  :pan:.) Might just have to attend. :)

That's right around my native home (Bolingbrook), and Suburbia isn't too far a drive from Southern IL...we'll see!

Don't forget the Casino and Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora!

And of course, every time I head back home, need some Portillos and Deep Dish Pizza!

Definite "maybe" on my part (depends on the timing of this event as I am a senior in high school and my graduation day is sometime in June...)

LOL
Real pizza is where we call it pizza, here in the NY area. Chicago deep dish is deep dish. It's tasty, but it's a casserole, not a pizza. It's deep dish.

Part of me wants to go to this meet and bring my cat since it has her name in it.

But I highly doubt I will be present since I am already schedule crowded for trips in the May-June timeframe.

Your cat's name is Naperville?

kphoger

I'm not voting, as it's only a razor-thin chance I'll even be going to DuPage County this year.  But, if that razor-thin chance comes through, then it will be the weekend of May 26.
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.

Har har. My cat's name is Aurora.

While Memorial Day weekend is the least convenient, I'm fairly sure that I could make it regardless of the date.

The votes are in, and May 19th it is.  I'll post a Facebook page for the meet as well.
