There is the Highway 78 Ale. It's a scotch ale named after the 78 freeway which connects Stone in Escondito, Green Flash in Vista, and Pizza Port on Carlsbad, CA. It's a joint brew between all three breweries.

That got me thinking; are the federal road sign images and devices public domain? I'd figure the state shield use laws probably vary from state to state.
Yes, anything the federal government creates is PD. I believe the MUTCD makes it explicitly so as well. State road shields are kind of iffy but it seems like an unlikely target for litigation so it probably wouldn't be much to worry about.

I think a fifth would be justified for that! I got caught in horrible traffic there about a year ago due to a wreck. It was a parking lot, AND I had a crying baby in my backseat as well. Great times. X-(

Nothing goes better than talking about roads while not driving than beer.
Two Roads (Stratford, CT) has been making a big push up here lately, and now that every fourth person in the US owns a microbrewery, there are tons that latch onto road nostalgia.
The aforementioned Two Roads, for example, puts out:
- Rye 95
- Honeyspot Road White IPA (Conn. Tpk. drivers will recognize the exit the brewery's located at, one of the last blue signs to come down)
- No Limits Hefeweizen (notable because the label features the "international" blue/white two-lanes-under-an-overpass freeway symbol)
Then there is of course the storied Post Road Pumpkin Ale, one of the earliest of the plague of pumpkin beers.
But there are many more. Surely one of you is enjoying one right now.

Yesterday, I came across a Facebook post from a local brewery here in Upstate New York that had announced that they were releasing a beer with a road related name for sale. The beer is I-87 IPA from the Davidson Brothers Brewery in Glens Falls, NY.
That had gotten me to thinking, what other beverages (beer, wine, soft drinks, etc.) are named after roads. I know that the 2010 Southeast Pennsylvania brewery was hosted at Sly Fox Brewery, which brews the Route 113 IPA, as the brewery is located on PA 113. I recall a beer that was for sale when I was staying in Mammoth Lakes, California a few years back with a US 395 shield on the label, but I do not recall the name of the beer itself or even the brewery that brews that beer. With all of this being said, perhaps others can chime in on names of beers named after roads.
Finally, they could have done a better job with designing the tap handle (as seen below), but I like the name of the beer.

Just ask the people at Broneah Kiteboarding who received a trademark in the M-22 marker, and then sued someone selling M-119 stickers for trademark dilution in federal court. The Michigan MUTCD explicitly puts those markers in the PD and says they can't be covered by a trademark, but it's apparently up to the US Patent & Trademark Office whether or not they want to grant a trademark anyway.
Funny this topic should pop up again. Yesterday I saw that the Anderson Valley göse that was so popular this past summer has a California route 128 sign on the front of the can.

For Thanksgiving weekend, I was in Luverne, Minnesota, where they now have Take 16 brewery, named for the former US 16 which went through there. I have no idea how good their beer is, as I don't drink anymore.
Today I was at Night Shift Brewing for the release of Santilli, their new main IPA going forward. It is named for the ironically-named Santilli Highway–the short, narrow, two-lane industrial street the brewery is on.

I enjoyed this one when I was in Oregon a couple months ago. That says 75 IBU. I believe Silver Moon's main brewery is in Redmond, OR and they also do some brewing at their pub in Bend.

I didn't at first (and they're still not usually my first choice). But, like beer in general, they're an acquired taste, if at all.

Tupps Brewery in McKinney, TX has a "Northbound 75" (for US 75) which is a pale ale infused with 'fire roasted peppers and spices'. I've seen it in stores, but haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid any 'peppers and spices' will not end well for me -_-

This one from Delaware was in a Costco box of craft beers (that was on offer, and meant cheap quality beer). Odd, as most of the rest in the box weren't American*, but (while I'm not a huge fan of New World Hops), it was fine. Nothing special, but decent enough - like the rest of the box!
Other than the badge/name, no other road theming.
*four Scottish (Fraoch, Brewdog, Bellhaven, Goldfinch), two American (Fordham, Goose Island), one Burton (Martson's), one London (Young's), one Yorkshire (North) and the other three all from Bowman Ales in Hampshire. Branded as 'Winter', but only a couple were actually wintery.

Sly Fox Brewing makes the Route 113 IPA, or as PennDOT would call it: SR 0113 IPA.
Their location on PA 113 (hence the inspiration for the beer) was the site of the 2010 SEPA Meet. They may know how to make a beer, but they can't take a reservation or split a check properly.

Double Nickel in Pennsauken, NJ gets its name from the former toll at the nearby Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. When the bridge first opened, the toll was a nickel. When the toll doubled to 10 cents, many people referred to it as the double nickel.
