If you drive around North Carolina for long enough, I'm sure you could find some stunt that he's up to.
I doubt this is actually the case. Why do like, half of the people I meet under the age of 21, who doesn't live in North Carolina, think that by living in North Carolina, I must know this guy or have seen him before? There's 10.4 million people here. It's not like you see random celebrities all the time by driving around Los Angeles or New York, so why would that be the case for a state with a population less than those place's metro populations, and with one person who lives in a pretty unremarkable part of the state?
Bumping into celebrities in cities happens more often than you think.

It happens in the Nashville area often.
