I'm NYCDOT and I'm from Long Island. I've had an interest in roads and public transit since the day I was born. Funny story, as a kid, I would hold my eyelids open at night so I could read the signs.

As I explored into enthusiast-geared forums, I stumbled across this great one. Hopefully I gain some new information, and share some to others. I'm glad to be here, and hope to talk to you all soon!
Sadly, my signature was eaten by an evil pothole.

Welcome from Florida! I think you and your username will standout on this forum. I'm guessing you're in Brooklyn or Queens, based on the fact that you mentioned NYCDOT and Long Island in the same sentence.

Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Thanks! Sadly, I have a long way to go if I want to work for DOT, or any transportation agency, for that matter.
Sadly, my signature was eaten by an evil pothole.

Welcome, from sunny SoCal.  I visited Long Island once; it was a brief trip to Bethpage, about a month after Super Storm Sandy.
