Marin Avenue in Berkeley is claimed to be the steepest street in the San Francisco Bay Area, at 25% for several blocks.

I've driven it both up and down as well as being a passenger when I was a kid.  Calls for care and good control of the clutch - partly because as it's not in the mountains there's also other traffic, pedestrians, and cross streets to keep in mind.  There have been a fair number of accidents there too.  (It can't really be that bad, can it?  Let's see.  CRASH.)

I’m tempted to find out what his thoughts on Waipio Valley Road are?  You’d definitely would need wheel lock for 40% plus.

There's also that street in LA. Don't know the gradient, but it's pretty steep. Gotta admit that 24% isn't that bad quote is one for the ages.

Seriously, I've volunteered several times. I'd think my participation in the interest since the early days of MTR and my journalism/PR background would make me a logical candidate, but I know it's not going to happen because of the existing team's personal feelings about me and many of the prevailing opinions on free speech vs. my opinion on the subject.

I've never been a huge fan of living in suburban "Goddamn Rapids" to be honest and I was born and lived the first five years of my life two houses off "Goddamn River Ave" in downtown Howell. "Gd" can't go away fast enough, IMHO.

So have I. I was referring to what he was saying GD stands for. There is nothing wrong with using Gd for the word Grand.

I trimmed the quote for comedic effect, but earlier in the post he does say that his brain expands "Gd" to "Goddamn" rather than "Grand". (Which, I think is a fair misinterpretation. I tend to expand it to "Good" myself, but I've only spent a few days in Michigan.)
