Have you encountered any bridges that have toll booths in the middle of the bridge? There are two that I know of in NJ: the Grassy Sound Bridge and the Middle Thorofare Bridge. Both of these bridges have toll booths servicing one side but not the other, and I believe they are also drawbridges as well. Are there any other examples of this close to where you are from? What one of these looks like: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0297552,-74.8009117,3a,75y,36.7h,91.72t,0.51r/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sSMIkmLqNcMOsn5Kf0DFtRw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192
I believe the former I-74 suspension bridges across the Mississippi did at one time. Google aerial where I think the plaza was.
The Tobin Bridge in Massachusetts had its toll plaza between the two through truss sections. The booths were removed in the mid-2010s after AET was implemented and the current toll gantries are on the southwest approaches.
Also where did bridge personnel park their cars?
I thought the US 67 bridge over the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities did when it was a toll bridge.
The Venetian Causeway in Miami, sort of.
