Sorry, I haven't been regularly active on this website in a year. What is this bullshit about Illinois being hilly?

Related to posts by "Lord Carhorn" a.k.a. "Cra_Shit" and his repeated assertion that Illinois is not flat.  The threads mentioned above will fill you in.

The lulz got upped when he claimed a stretch of IL 26 along the Illinois River is the most beautiful drive in the world, and then said because Teddy Roosevelt was the one who allegedly coined this that that made it automatically true.

Hence:

"Illinois isn't flat"

I'm bringing this back:

Followed by ongoing jokes throughout the forum, which I've become adept at tuning out.

Oklahoma's recent FHWA Series installs would mostly look okay if they could find it within themselves to use Series D in shields instead of E(M) and learned what a Type A arrow was.

Will Illinois sweeping the Flat Highways Awards become a Roadgeek Meme?  Only time will tell..

Florida, though I'm not sure why it needs an award.

I saw something circulating on Facebook where Missouri DOT used the Smith-Rock slap as a meme to announce a road closure.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

For somewhat obvious reasons, it should have been Arkansas DOT.

He'd just end up with complaints from the Route 66 fandom who refuse to acknowledge any segment of Interstate was ever late era US 66 alignments.

I don't imagine he would be bothered much by that.

Going to request him to buy I-80 west of SLC and change it back to US 40 then. Can't let another x0 other than I-70 also be crowned as the successor of US 40 :-D
