Title: Mecklenburg/Brunswick Secondary Route 903
Post by: Takumi on January 30, 2012, 08:19:35 PM
Is SR 903 a former primary route? Its length and high number seem to indicate that it is, but I've never seen any references to one there.

SR 903 above SR 615 to South Hill was original VA 122, then VA 31 and briefly US 1.

SR 903 was renumbered from Brunswick SR 650 and Brun/Meck SR 627 and Mecklenburg SR 637 to match NC 903 around 1982.

Thanks Mapmikey,

It's an interesting drive if you get a chance.  Been there a couple of times, easy to get to off of I-85.

I've never driven it myself, but I've been on parts of it as a passenger. My next planned trip is to that area, so I'll probably check it out while I'm down there.
