Interstate 295 - new guides for the west bypass of Jacksonville with complete coverage northbound.

"Florida 9A is now hidden for the 60-mile beltway."  --- Shouldn't this be "61-mile"?  This is beside this image: https://www.aaroads.com/southeast/florida295/i-295_nb_exit_028_01.jpg

It only took me two months, but I have finally fixed it to reflect 61 miles. Hopefully I did not do that anywhere else on the guides. Thanks for pointing it out!

andy3175

In addition to some updates in Idaho and Montana (yes, we're finally getting into Montana with guides), we have also updated the Business Loop I-80 Sacramento page with new photos and new information about the extent of Interstate 305 and planned rehabilitation project for the Camellia City Viaduct.

I designed many of the signs at Business 80 and Harbor Blvd in West Sacramento  :D

I must say, very nicely done, Mr. Rouse!

Just a couple of things to point out to you:

The three power lines that cross over the Business 80 freeway near Cal Expo are (going from south to north), PG&E, SMUD, and Western Area Power Administration.

The power line that crosses over the Business 80 freeway at Marconi Avenue is actually a PG&E line.

I wonder how many other roadgeeks also are fascinated with power transmission lines.  I'll have to see if there's a thread in the forum about that.

andy3175

Excellent, thank you for the corrections. I'll modify the page accordingly. Since the towers are not of PG&E standard, I'd assumed (erroneously) that they were SMUD.

There's at least one power line thread on the forum:
https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=1436.msg33745#msg33745

I also added several pictures of power lines on the AARoads Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151626122292948.1073741829.181045197947&type=1

Perhaps someday there will be a larger database of pictures on the main AARoads page (should I ever get sufficient time to eliminate my inventory of road pictures and develop such a page).

Thanks,
Andy

Recent updates include new and improved coverage for Interstate 85 (northbound and southbound) in North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as complete coverage for Interstate 75 north through Hillsborough, Pasco and Hernando Counties in Florida.

Gradually we are updating the Interstate business route page to include more pictures and to have more accurate listings of the various routes. So please check back from time to time to see some updates!

Something on the photo pages, perhaps one of the ads, sometimes causes the latest Firefox to hang, requiring me to end the task. I'm sorry I can't be more specific.

Andy, do you want a close up picture for the I-76 Business page for the I-376 Business route entry?  I have a nice up-close shot of a WB I-376 BL shield when it still had the NB Business PA-60 shield below it from 12/06/09.

Yes, that would be great! You can send it either to Alex or me ... we've not gotten around to updating the BL 76 page yet.

Replaced the old I-95 north page on southeastroads.com for Georgia with two new pages on aaroads.com covering every exit. Most photos were taken from the first of two trips to South Carolina over the holidays.

https://www.aaroads.com/guide.php?page=i0095ga

There were some new signs for the GA 21 exit installed after a fourth lane was added between Jimmy DeLoach Parkway and Exit 109. They include the new external exit tab and omit the GA 30 designation.

Was GA 30 truncated to the north, or was the omission on I-95 based signage done for another reason? The southbound signage was unchanged FWIW.

Alex

Added all of the photos we took last August for Interstate 270 in Maryland.

FLRoads

The Arkansas Gateway page on the site has been updated and includes some new highway guides, including Interstate 530 and Interstate 630. The Arkansas 549 (Future I-49) page has also been updated with extended coverage northbound around Texarkana to U.S. 71.

JMoses24

I have some new photos of I-471's southern terminus, if anyone's interested.

Sure, we'd be interested! I will send you a PM to discuss further. Thanks!

Long overdue update for the Interstate 95 northbound page through Delaware:

https://www.aaroads.com/guide.php?page=i0095nade

And I moved all of the old material onto an archive page:

https://www.aaroads.com/guide.php?page=i0095anade

The 12/31/69 entries are from 1985. I have to figure out a way to get the script to reflect incomplete dates.

Alex

And now Interstate 95 southbound through Delaware is updated with 89 new photos. This direction includes photos through the Newark toll plaza as opposed to northbound, which I have never photographed..

The old photos are compiled in an archives page, which I will post tomorrow.

Hi everyone,

I made a few updates on some Central Valley highways in California ... I-205, CA 59, CA 99, CA 120, etc. ... all in the old format (for now). Enjoy!

Andy, I would love for the pictures tobe posted to the main site because I don't have a Facebook account and therefore can't view the pictures. If updates are too time consuming I can maybe try to add them if you send me them and some general comments for each of them.

If the Facebook content is on a Page, you do not have to be a member to view it. For instance, my Millennium Highway FB page is publicly accessible. But the Millennium Highway group is restricted not only to FB members, but to members of the group.
