Edgewater to Rushville

(I never understood why they called Tony Stewart "The Rushville Rocket" since he's from Columbus, not Rushville.)

Probably because he moved there as a child and that was where he was living when he burst onto the karting stage.

It's kind of the same for me. I was born in Kalamazoo, MI but I don't claim that as my hometown. I always say I am from Schaumburg IL because that's where I grew up.

Rushville embraced Smoke very early on as on of their own.

I've been through Rushville twice and saw no homage to Smoke (who is now a Daytona 500-winning car owner as of last night) whatsoever. But Columbus has a sign honoring him on IND 46. Go figure.

It's getting increasingly hard for me to dredge up road sign photos of E____ placenames that don't end in "e" or "y".

Douglasville => Easton (MD), on US 50:

We need an "e" rule to go along with the "y" and "a" rules.

I still like my idea that you should be able to play the word in front of "...ville" since there are so many 'ville's. Therefore you could play an "S" if someone played "Louisville."

Agreed, but it shouldn't necessarily be limited to ____ville. Perhaps also ___ Lake and ___ Cove (both from photos I've put on the shelf for the time being). Maybe some other suffixes too, like ___town?

Just expanding the E rule would help, but not with photos where the only placename (such as on city/town/etc. limit markers), or all the placenames, end with "e".
