Indianapolis has been done to death, multiple plays in this thread. And you're not even contributing your own photo, but rather using something from an AARoads photo gallery (which is OK if that photo hasn't been used already, but still not very original). Can't we do better?

Also, you really don't need to quote and repeat the photo you're responding to -- that's just a waste of screen space. Just say which city name you're responding to (as you're doing already), then the name you're playing and the photo you're using.

Anyway, Indianapolis => Shafter (CA):

Before I had my own photos, I contributed using photos from alpsroads, Wikimedia Commons, or just found on Google Images, but I specifically looked for names ending in B, C, or V. (Or in one case, starting with X before it became a wildcard.) Was that okay?

There are really a shortage of cities that start with an "I," especially those are big enough to be featured on signage that would available to find online. If playing this game requires using your own photos then participation would be limited to those who have large photo galleries, which would severely limit the game.

Indianapolis was like my 5th choice, I spent 20 minutes trying to avoid playing it. Most of my other plays have been small New England towns so I try to avoid the obvious choices in general. No one had responded in that time so I threw down the card to keep the ball rolling.

Anyway.....

I've done plenty of that myself, but only for places that hadn't been played before, and usually really obscure places like Laxgalts'ap BC (giving people a chance to play their P____s). You're putting some effort into it, thanks.

Wikipedia's state-by-state alphabetical lists of cities and other localities are a useful tool to find out-of-the-way places starting with the letter you need. The links in those lists will sometimes take you to an article with a Wikipedia Commons road sign image (make sure to credit the author, if credit is requested). Or you can look through the AARoads photo galleries for signs from those places, as I've done a lot for California -- pretty thoroughly covered in the AARoads galleries, as well as some other Western states -- before I went there to take more of my own photos.
