Invalid play. It's Horcajada de la Torre (in Cuenca province in Spain, BTW), so it should have continued from E.

I was just going from what Truvelo said was the city name he was playing. I also was unfamiliar with the apparent signage convention in Spain of putting part of a city name in a bigger font than the rest of the name, which makes the latter look at first glance like not part of the name at all.

Anyways, a little late to unwind the thread, especially since I don't have any E___o names left to sub for Alvarado (all my Eldorados and El Dorados were used up long ago).

Sartell ---> Lexington

(this is from off of Interstate 26 Westbound (though it is actually heading in the direction of north) at the SPUI interchange with US 378 in Columbia, South Carolina)

Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.

Lexington → New Virginia (on I-35 — formerly, the exit lead to Iowa 207, hence the blank space. Kind of surprising that it was never replaced with a County G76 marker.)

I take pictures of road signs, that's about it.

General rule of thumb: Just stay in the "Traffic Control" section of the forum and you'll be fine.

Did you happen to notice that every S on this sign is upside down?

I did not! But now that you mention it, it does look a little off. I bet if I showed this to my grandfather, he wouldn't be surprised. He worked for the Stearns County highway dept, (his last years before retirement were in sign fabrication, no less!) and he always complained about his incompetent co-workers. :-D
