Is that a brand new sign with a missing letter?

Looks like it. The funny thing is that at least one WB BGS corresponding to this EB BGS is also missing the "o", so I'd been expecting an opportunity to get a "Gall Way" pic for the Street Name game on my way back from Memphis.

I have no idea what's up with that. Maybe the lettering is demountable, and some pranksters demounted the "o" on each sign. Or maybe the sign shop was out of small "o"s and decided not to wait until it could restock.

Jim

Looks like the town name is missing an "a" not an "o".  Maybe they've taken down an erroneous "o" with a plan to replace with the correct "a"?
Photos I post are my own unless otherwise noted.

Tennessee does use demountable copy, so who knows what's up?

There's a lot of mixed signs/setups in Iowa, like that. Sometimes, it's even on the same sign itself, e.g. main panel is FHWA and the exit tab is Clearview.

You're referring to "Nutbush City Limits" by Ike and Tina Turner, about her birthplace?

Picky, picky, picky. My guess is that Nutbush has formal "limits", even though the community is (at least now) unincorporated.

BTW, TN 19 through Nutbush is the "Tina Turner Highway", and I snapped a pic of that sign. I'll play that in the Street Name game at first opportunity.

Yes, and I was being my sarcastic self with that comment.  :bigass:
