That's GSV.
How do you know?
Blurring of random letters.
Why does google do that? Do they look like faces?
My guess is that it's the license plate recognition that causes it, not the face recognition.

The diversion above nothwithstanding looks like Dover remains the last valid play (not Des Moines) so Dover to Rickman.

I found the location of the sign in question on Google Maps, and I don't see any GSV imagery that has those same vehicles in the shot, even when going back through multiple years and multiple pinpoints.  Does anyone know for sure that www.i95exitguide.com uses GSV and not some other source for its images?

I found it: September 2014 imagery, very close to the sign. Found here. (It's not the same image, as different letters are blurred, but the same vehicles are there.)

Disagree. Just because a website uses GSV imagery shouldn't make that photo invalid. He played from that site, not GSV.

So, can I take a screenshot of GSV, save the image to a photo hosting site, and then use that photo I just saved?  Maybe if I add some snazzy text and graphics...

Yeah, I'm not apt to allowing any kind of GSV imagery, screenshotted and modified or not.

P.S. I'm not sure if you guys looked closely or not, but you can clearly see the Google watermark in that I-95 picture.

Truvelo

So are we playing from Des Moines or Dover? I haven't looked on Google Maps yet but I can tell by looking at the image it's from GSV. Not only for the reasons already mentioned but because the image is taken with a wide angle lens and the camera position is high up.

Scott5114 hasn't yet weighed in on the debate, but 1 clearly identified the GSV shot used in the image.  (It's actually either DES MOINES or RICKMAN.)
