I don't think there's already a thread on this, so figured I'd start one. What are signs that have changed or changed location for whatever reason? Reasons we likely won't know.

In Ellensburg, this guide sign on the right pointed to both I-90 west for Seattle and I-90 east for Spokane, but at some point, it was changed to just Seattle for some reason.

At the same junction as above, the "Freeway Entrance" sign was moved from the right side to the cement wall separator.

In Ellensburg, on I-90 westbound, this sign for Exit 109 was different.

Just a bit father up from that last one, the Exit 109 sign at the gore point was designed differently.

In Ellensburg, on I-90 Exit 109 eastbound, these signs were different, an additional sign was installed, and the 25 MPH suggested speed sign was taken off the gore point exit sign. The other signs were also shifted as a result and moved a bit farther down the exit ramp.

On I-90 westbound at Vantage, there used to be a camping sign here that was removed.

On US Route 97 at the Blewett Pass summit, the county line and elevation signs used to share a post, but they were later separated to each side.

The reason there isn't a thread for this is because it happens far too often to be interesting. This is not nearly as interesting as you seem to think it is, unfortunately.

While looking at Google Maps, the sign at the junction of WA 21 and WA 174 used to be like this: https://goo.gl/maps/yZGfyftoHVM6RJzy8

The current sign is smaller, making all the text appear differently, such on different lines. The control city of Davenport on top was also changed to Wilbur: https://goo.gl/maps/aMKCMeYio7pgHJLL9

The old sign, however, did have a mistake, which was fixed in the current one. WA 174 was incorrectly signed as north instead of west.

I wonder if every driver will be able to pay attention to the signs when he is used to seeing them in the same place :-/
