Greetings, I have been reading the forum for a long time, and finally decided to join!!

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, and live there now, but have also lived in Columbus, as well as various places in Michigan, Maryland, and New Hampshire.

I have been fascinated with roads and road numbering systems since I was a kid - when I was about 14, I made a mobile of highway signs out of cardboard.

I live about 2 miles from the junction of interstates 74 & 75 - one of three places in Ohio where adjacently numbered interstates intersect - actually the other two (70/71  and 76/77) both contain concurrencies.  If and when 73 gets built and 74 gets extended, we'll have four places like that.

My geekiness in numbering systems also extends to license plates and telephone exchanges.   I never thought about driver license numbering systems until I moved to Maryland and got the same 13-character driver license number as I had in Michigan - because they both use the same convoluted system.

2di's clinched: 44, 66, 68, 71, 72, 74, 78, 83, 84(east), 86(east), 88(east), 96

Welcome from northeastern Massachusetts!
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Welcome from just down the road in Louisville (where US 42 is properly signed as an east-west route  )

Welcome from the next state over and a half!

Welcome from off of I-75 a few states south of you. I will say I also find it interesting how the interstates and their numbers work out in Ohio - I guess it's just being in that spot on the grid.
Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.

It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Welcome to you from across the river in Northern Kentucky (Latonia area of Covington).  What part of Cincinnati do you currently reside?
I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)
