Title: Dallas Tx: Jefferson Blvd: Strange Divided Street
Post by: Brian556 on November 17, 2011, 10:49:12 PM
West Jefferson Blvd in Dallas, TX is strange for a couple of reasons:
1. One side has bridges and the other does not. (see pic below)
2. It is parallel and very close to SH 180 (OLD US 80).

Note: Jefferson Blvd is a city street. It has never been on the state highway system.

From the pic this looks like a frontage road/ freeway setup, but it's not. It's two very different sides to a divided street.

Did one direction replace the Jefferson Boulevard streetcar line?

I don't know. I did know about the Interurban Line that ran along this street, but I need to do more research to try to nail that down.
