Sigh, more of the asinine thinking that somehow increasing fines brings in more revenue without thinking of what happens should the number of violations sharply decline. They're probably the same people who want to think increased taxes bring in more revenue instead of actually driving off more taxpayers.

Exactly, rawmustard, agentsteel53 noted in another thread that in a recent trip to Europe he slowed down to a ridiculously low speed limit because he'd heard the fine was 3000 Euros.

^^ Some countries have fines based on personal income. If you make a million a year, a 100 dollar fine is nothing, if you're on social benefits, it's a lot.
