Twin Cities MN to Fort Myers, FL and back

Wednesday 10-23: Depart 3:30 Roseville, MN --> I-35W south to I-35. Encountered three I-35 construction zones between the Twin Cities and Owatonna 

I-35 through Iowa and through Kansas City. South to Olathe, KS at Bill's place 11:30PM.

Bill and I leave Thursday 10-24 @ 7:00am:

I-35 north --> I-435 east --> I-49 south --> US 71 south (future I-49) --> I-540 south (future I-49) --> I-40/540 west --> I-540 to the end (clinched I-540, I-49) --> U-turn after OK 112, I-540 east --> US 271 north --> US 71 north --> US 64 west --> I-40 east through Little Rock, and into Memphis. I-240 south --> US 78 --> Future I-22 through MS --> I-22 Alabama to Coalburg Rd --> Daniel Payne Dr --> I-65 south --> Stop at I-65/US 82 12:30ish AM

Friday 10-25 @ 8:00AM: I-65 south --> US 82 east --> US 231 south --> I-10 east --> I-75 south --> Stop at I-75/Gibsonton Rd 7:00PM.

Saturday 10-26: I-75 south --> Daniels Pkwy westbound --> Ben C Pratt southbound --> Lee Hammond Stadium: Roy Hobbs World Series Check in!

Return trip:

Depart 11-2 @ 10:00AM; I-75 north to I-10 West (stopped to have lunch with mom along the way at I-75/Gibsonton). I-10 --> US 231. Stop along US 231 near Montgomery, AL

Depart 11-3 @ 8:00am: US 231 north --> AL 271 --> I-85 south (future I-685 west) --> I-65 north --> I-22 west (via detours again) --> I-240 west --> I-55 north to I-70 (stopping at Lambert's café in Sikeston, MO) --> I-70 through St Louis and west to KC. I-470 south --> I-435 --> I-35 to Olathe - Stay at Bill's overnight

Depart 11-4 @ 9:00am: I-35 north --> I-435 east --> US 71 north --> I-29 north --> I-229 at north end, back south --> I-29 north at south end of I-229 (clinched I-229) --> US 36 west --> I-229 (what a mess at I-229/US 36!!!) --> I-229 north --> I-29 north --> I-129 west (using a detour due to reconstruction) --> U-turn; I-129 east (clinched I-129) --> I-29 north (after ANOTHER detour!) --> I-229 north --> I-90 east --> MN 60 north --> US 169 north --> MN 610 west. Home about 10:00 PM WHEW!!!

I had a passenger with me that wanted to stop about every 5 minutes and made my ears hurt. We had a baseball tournament in Fort Myers to get to, so time was of the essence!

I will be Florida bound again in late February/early March once it gets close to Spring Training, I will likely be more up for taking more pics/videos along the way. I did take a couple of pics and videos after dropping Bill off back in K.C. Namely a video of the mess at US 36/I-229, a video of I-129, some photos of I-129, and some photos of the northern I-229. I will post them soon.
