I've actually found some September 2021 imagery already appearing in the Seattle area.

For example: https://goo.gl/maps/w6wbUbPJxFSZ7b5u8

I photographed this Street View car in the area on September 26:

Quite a lot of new (August-September 2021) imagery appeared in Québec, with the occasional first-time imagery, such as this road and this one (the latter is sort of a pet peeve of mine, as they chose to cover that road while ignoring nearby QC-132 that has no coverage).

Even Raleigh has a good number of them too.

For fun, here's a shot of the new I-40 bridge that's under construction! - https://www.google.com/maps/@35.7538024,-78.5966533,3a,75y,101.14h,89.03t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s703cjhNRFORt3n7P0ccsnw!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3D703cjhNRFORt3n7P0ccsnw%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D244.01758%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192

Here's an even better view from the current I-40 viaduct.

Also neat.

Now back on topic, it seems like they missed Asheville and Wilmington... I hope they get those areas as well as the coastal cities other than Greenville.

At the very least, those cities have coverage, which is something I can't say for my hometown... which is admittedly a bit of a chore to get to, but I'm pretty sure Google could do it if they wanted to.

Looking at a random dot, it looks like some faces are not even completely blurred out! https://www.google.com/maps/@47.4046974,-61.8345146,3a,46.4y,274.17h,71.99t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipMiauUvd2cLvUrXdeMWrDIh5aq1u2I03yg0DTvV!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMiauUvd2cLvUrXdeMWrDIh5aq1u2I03yg0DTvV%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya260-ro0-fo100!7i17100!8i8550?hl=en

Could be a ferry reason though cause the street view in Ocracoke HAS NOT been updated in over 10 years. https://www.google.com/maps/@35.1419414,-75.889091,3a,75y,106.23h,85.02t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1swrY76iFQYP87XQPEPMzUgA!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3DwrY76iFQYP87XQPEPMzUgA%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D155.55737%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i3328!8i1664

One of them isn't a face (it's the back of someone's head), and the other one is blocked by a different face.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Yeah, but if you look around, you can see more visible faces. Not kidding.

Wait, you live on an island? That's so rad.

Shame they don't have coverage of it, because it looks beautiful in the user-submitted photos.

Well, I was born there, but I moved many times between there and Québec City in the last few years. Anyways, yeah, I almost want to petition Google to do so, considering it wouldn't be THAT hard to cover it.

They could also go the route of Saint Pierre, which must have gotten fed up with Google not driving there, because they went ahead and did it all themselves.

Regarding the face discussion, it's worth noting that anything with a dot is user-submitted photospheres, not Google imagery.  I don't believe Google blurs faces and whatnot on third party imagery.  Or at least not photos and photospheres.

The islands comment got me curious, so I decided to look around and see what local ferry-only islands have Street View coverage:

Modern (post-2011): Vashon Island
Ancient (2007 to 2010): San Juan Island, Anderson Island, Guemes Island
None: Lummi Island, Lopez Island, Orcas Island, Shaw Island, Hat/Gedney Island, McNeil Island, Squaxin Island

Honorable mention: Point Roberts (no coverage)

I hope they'll update the streetview on Rivière-Verte Road near TCH-85 (formely TCH-185) soon now then that gap is being upgraded to freeway. https://goo.gl/maps/ZUnuzDjyUhW5xcJn9

This streetview showing Glenday Road is now replaced by an extension of A-410 and still isn't updated yet. https://goo.gl/maps/AscqYJAstg3wKZim9  Same for NWT-3 where the Deh Cho bridge over the Mackenzie River is now open since a decade ago. https://goo.gl/maps/KSTBLthmUQ33zqy66

Besides the Iles-de-la-Madeleine, I wish then Streetview will cover the Bay James Road and the Trans-Labrador Highway.  Should we wish then Bing Streetside cover also Canada and Apple allow Apple maps to being used on Windows to wake up and shake the Streetview guys?
