Does anyone know where this bridge is - 1922

I'm trying to place this picture my granddad took on his cross country trip in 1922.  I think it is either in the Denver area or in the Devils Canyon area of Arizona.

I don't think that looks like Colorado, but it could certainly be Arizona.  I suggest further pursuit of your Devils Canyon theory.

My guess is old US 60 in Gila County over the Pinto Wash?

  I agree  with Andy3175,  it  looks  like the canyon just before the Queen Creek Tunnel  east of Superior,AZ.

This is about 12 miles east of me.  From what I understand, it was finally destroyed during hurricane Agnes in 1972.  At least that's what the locals claim, though I can't see how an East Coast storm could effect this area.  It was very close to the location of today's desert view tower in In-Ko-Pa and carried an early incarnation of US 80.

It was hurricane Kathleen in 1976 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Kathleen_(1976). Destroyed a section of I-8 including the bridge.
