Yankee legend Whitey Ford has just passed away as of last night at the age of 91. May he lay in peace.

Add Phil Niekro to the list of HOF pitchers who passed in 2020.

Whitey Ford and Bob Gibson were the two living pitchers who had won seven or more World Series games.  They died within a week of each other.

I remember meeting him and a few other Yankees at Spring Training about 15 years ago. He was a nice guy and I told him I'm a big Mickey Mantle fan and he told me about Mickey it was fun. I also chatted with Yogi Berra, Derek Jeter, Ron Guidry, Don Mattingly and Joe Torre. Great pitcher and a fun guy to be around.
