After thinking about this:
As a fan of a smaller market (or maybe the better term is "non-juggernaut") team, I can only hope the Dodgers don't see success with this model. And while I said in a previous post that I am happy for Ohtani, that was more on a personal level (he seemed to always prefer the West Coast). I can't in good faith wish him success on the field.

Seeing this thread for first time. You are all very dedicated.

Got some new pictures yesterday that are now added to the website:

• Added pictures of SR 288, SR 188, and SR 87
• Added a picture of a button copy sign on SR 260 in Payson.
• Added a picture of the Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Road to the Scenic Roads page.

Minor now, but gradually increasing.

Two very recent examples:
FB posts announcing Shohei Ohtani signing with the Dodgers -- showing Shohei Ohtani in action in a Dodgers uniform (he just signed there an hour ago -- to my knowledge no such picture exists for real yet, unless he was modeling uniforms but I find that very dubious).

Yesterday (anniversary of John Lennon's death), a 1950s-1960s era Peanuts cartoon (with Patty (not the same as Peppermint Patty) and Charlie Brown) with Charlie Brown's head down. Caption said something like "Missing Lennon". I had some arguments on FB with people about this -- didn't understand why I had a problem with it. To be clear, I agree with the sentiment, but the caption was clearly photoshopped in, since the cartoon is from way earlier than Lennon's death. If Schultz didn't draw it this way, I have a problem with it.

I know these two particular examples are unimportant. But it could happen with much more serious matters (it probably already has). So now, one has to look at every picture with a critical eye.

In the Ohtani case, this practice has been going on for years, even before Photoshop.  I remember in my youth seeing baseball cards of players (typically head shots) traded over the winter with their new team's logo on their hat, but you can tell that their jersey is of their old team.

For the latter case:
I too am bothered with people using old Peanuts cartoons and adding in their own message to suit their own point of view.  I see this way too often.  And it's not how Schultz draw them.

Along those lines, another mis-appropriation is where a young boy looking suspiciously identical to Calvin (from "Calvin and Hobbes") is pissing on a Ford (or Chevy) truck.  I'm sure that wasn't a Watterson creation.

You are old enough to remember '60s baseball cards that had hats with blacked out logos (in [articular, 1966 Braves cards as they had just moved from Milwaukee to Atlanta). Also, back then they often they took a hatless picture (in addition to one with a hat) to use in the case of a trade.

So, with the opening of this interchange, I'm guessing MassDOT wants motorists to take the new Exit 25 to reach the "Route 128 Station".  That seems to reason that any reconstruction of the I-95/I-93-128 interchange would involve a flyover coming in to the left at some point near the present University Ave exit on I-95/128 North. 

ConnDOT recently added a 2-lane left exit flyover on I-91 to reach the Charter Oak Bridge in Hartford... I wonder if something similar could be snuck in, coming in on the left side of 128, shifting the existing 4 lanes over to the right to accomodate such a ramp.  The farthest lane right could become an "Exit only" ramp for University Ave/present Route 128 Station exit.  Certainly leaves the door open for such a configuration, and with this ramp open, there wouldn't be a need for I-95 North traffic to access University Ave via that exit... instead, that traffic could take this new exit.

But that's all probably several years away, given the present big ticket interchange items ongoing (I-90/I-495, I-90/Allston Viaduct, etc).

Many have been concerned that Dedham St./University Ave. are going to be clogged due to people wanting to avoid the 93/95 interchange.  I'm sure people will try it...until they realize that the gauntlet of traffic lights (that favor the plaza) on University Ave. does not make this a huge time saver!

The mods ought to modify that stupid line of "s"s below the OP's avatar. In some threads, those characters protrude into the post and mess up the display. Example:

In fact it seems the line of S's always protrude into the post, and whether or not it affects the post's legibility only depends on the length of the post. The only time it's not noticeable is when the S's happen to align with a box of quoted text: in that case, they'll disappear behind the quote.

At least this guy stopped using this “s” nonsense as placeholders for posts he would edit later.
