Hiding Freeways from other roads

I see that the NPS did a great job concealing I-64 from the quaint Colonial Parkway as in this image.

Then the above construction project adding travel lanes to I-64 did a great job in preserving the underpasses and making them still look neat.

Only thing is contractor should plant trees to cover the bare hills in between the two crossings.

Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

What's the clearance there?  It appears to be about 8 feet in the very middle! :)
