Vanport Bridge (i376) Question

Is it just me, or does the Vanport bridge look like a scaled down version of the later betsy ross bridge, or should i say...does the betsy ross bridge look like a scaled up version of the vanport bridge?

Only visual difference other than size is the pier type, the vanport bridge is a lower bridge, so it has solid piers versus the more open design of the taller betsy ross.

No, they're both similar cantilevers, so I think you have good eyes there.

Both were built in the late 60s early 70s, both have the same over pier design where the truss comes down to meet the concrete. Just cannot confirm that the same firm worked on both.One is four lanes, one was eight lanes. The betsy ross bridge is 2 meters longer for the main span.
