I never knew one guitar from another, nor the history of Jerry Garcia either.  However I must ask what brand guitar did Jerry use here in this video?

Ahhh.  The famous Doug Irwin Wolf.  Jerry played it almost exclusively from late 73-76, including in this video from Winterland in San Francisco on 10/17/74 (the 2nd night of a 5 show run that preceded the Dead's hiatus until June of 76).  Here's the story behind it:
