This week in Michigan history: Detroit-Windsor Tunnel opens in 1930

Charles C. Parker, who lived on Detroit's east side, was the first person in line on the American side, and won a $20 annual pass. Vehicles had to go 20 m.p.h. and maintain a 50-foot space between one another.
