Most to all of US 21 in South Carolina from I-95 (Exit 42) north to SC 64 still has 2008 street-view, but once you pass that intersection there is updated GMSV from 2015 - although, this is in a pretty rural area.
It's all about perspective, when GMSV first came out perhaps around 2007, the image quality looked crystal-clear, but 14 years later with vastly improved technology and being used to much better images, the older street-view just doesn't look the same anymore.
But nonetheless, it's a treat. And if there's both 2007
and up-to-date street view, that's a neat way to see how the road and/or scenery has changed in those 14 years. They used to have a similar feature on Google Earth where you could see historical satellite, and after a series of updates the past few years, the feature appears to be lost. If only that was still around..
