If I made a good joke, then I really wish someone would explain it to me.

I sent you a PM explaining. I was more making fun of myself with that comment.

That's just weird. The only new highway proposal even close to that one was the aborted "Link 101" study that was put forth to find a better route between I-71 and US 50. INDOT killed that last year.

I regret to say that the content planned for today + tomorrow will have to be postponed to sometime next week.

On Wednesday I tested positive for the flu and have been feeling awful since Tuesday. I don't have any motivation at all to work on any new content and I need more rest.

I'll update you when I'm in a good enough state to create the content.

Quote from: tdindy88 on September 20, 2020, 09:37:55 PMI was just looking up about US 421 this evening when I noticed this "interesting" thing on its Wikipedia page.

Future
US 421 will be also a freeway in Indiana from Greensburg to Versailles. US 421 freeway will go near, or pass through Napoleon, and Osgood.

Um....right.
I'm surprised it still has remained for this long.

A few years after recording Total Eclipse of the Heart, which had the lyric "Turn around, bright eyes", Bonnie Tyler did a cover of Tina Turner's Don't Turn Around

I would too, but the conversation was about Philadelphia and Boston.

Nicely done!  :-D  :-D  :-D

Quote from: hbelkins on Today at 03:39:30 PMI would disagree with that assertion. The reckless behavior of her driver caused the traffic collision that killed her.

Well, sure, but the driver might not have driven so recklessly if the paparazzi hadn't been hounding them.

Quote from: dzheng35 on Today at 01:42:49 PMPotential interchange improvements in the corridor area:

https://www.route17.dot.ny.gov/docs/Rt%2017%20EIS_Scoping%20Meeting_Boards_English.pdf

What do you all think? I'd say these are some nice concepts they should proceed with.

Also, from one of the meeting boards in May of 2024 (second link), what mainline concept do you think is appropriate for DOT to proceed with? Concept 1 or 3? (Note: Concept 2 was recently ruled out so you may not select that as an option). I'm okay with either of the 2 build alternatives.
Just adding context here: this is in regards to the portion between I-87 and US-209 in Wurtsboro, not the aforementioned Hale Eddy segment.

As for the segment in question, I'd say Concept 3 - general use widening. I was gonna also say the concepts in Concept 1 could be implemented, but it appears they already are. You could phase it depending on traffic need.
