I'm looking to further my international road atlas collection. I'm hoping to get local publishers if possible, though I recognize it may not be possible for some regions. Does anyone have any recommendations for publishers to look into? So far I have as possibilities:

*Canada - MapArt (though other threads suggest things have changed there)
*USA - Rand McNally (and others)
*Mexico - Guia Roji
*Europe - Michellin, Collins
*South Africa - MapStudio

I use Guía Roji for Mexico as well, even though there are errors.  The last edition I bought was 2011, so I suppose I ought to start looking for a newer one.
Keep right except to pass.  Yes.  You.
Visit scenic Orleans County, NY!

I bought a 2015 Guia Roja (newest on Amazon) and it came today. Looks good so far.

Hema for Australia/New Zealand looked interesting, so did Periplus for Japan and SE Asia. ITMB is not local but since the Caribbean and Oceania might be difficult to get otherwise I might go with them for those.

Europe: Michelin or Collins
Germany/Austria: ADAC (can be difficult to find in North America, but they are still cranking out very detailed atlases)
UK: A to Z or Philips (especially their Navigator)
Canada: Map Art or BRMB (Backroad Map Book)
Mexico: None are particularly good
Japan: Mapple

https://www.stanfords.co.uk/ has a lot of international road atlases. They do ship to the US though it costs extra.

Closer to home https://www.metskers.com/ and https://www.itmb.ca/index.php have a somewhat decent selection, and then of course there's Amazon.

Yes, I've used Stanfords and they're fine. However, Blackwells (https://blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/home) is the best of the bunch, IMO. The merch is usually here within 2 weeks and the price of shipping to the US is included.

I used to have something better: a military 1:50K topo collection of central Germany. Unfortunately that collection was lost in one of several moves, but it's all good because it's 30 years old now and doesn't include the new(ish) Baumholder bypass.

The Topo-GPS app (https://www.topo-gps.com/) has a comprehensive collection of topographic maps for various European and other countries (at various scales) that can be downloaded right to your phone or tablet for a (mostly) reasonable cost.

But don't buy the French maps because they can all be accessed for free using the fantastic IGN Geoportal app. I can't say enough about this one; it's free and gives you every scale of French topo map. And "France" includes all French territories, so there are French Guiana, Tahiti/Bora Bora, Reunion, etc in there as well. Of course, all French territories are considered part of France itself (unlike how the UK and US do it).

Next round of atlases came today. I got both Caribbean atlases from ITMB and they seem pretty good. Their South American one was disappointing since it did not have road numbers, however it was significantly marked down. Maybe their country maps are better.

Also got the Argentina Super Atlas from Zagier y Urruty. Fairly impressed by it so far, though some of the Brazil pages are hard to read.
