There's no one for me to cheer for in the playoffs anymore, now that all the teams I wanted to win are gone.
Even as a Blackhawks fan, a part of me would like to see the Blues win a Cup

If not the Blues, I’d next like to see the Sharks hoist the Chalice

Yeah, going Western Conference for the Cup
I echo that sentiment!
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

ET21

Not gonna lie, kinda want an Avs/Hurricanes final. Don't know why... just an urge to see those two teams in the final
The local weatherman, trust me I can be 99.9% right!

You're not the only one, I also wish a Cup championship for the Blues. If it's not the case, one for the Sharks because of Joe Thortnton who's almost 40 and it would be a good way to end his career like Lanny McDonald in 1989 and Ray Bourque in 2001.

Do you think John Tavares might regret to be traded to the Leafs now then the Isles kicked out the Pens?

All I will say about this year's Stanley Cup playoffs is I did the NHL Stanley Cup bracket challenge and went 0-8 in the opening round. What was the point of the regular season?
MORE FUN THAN HUMANLY THOUGHT POSSIBLE

Buck87

So far this year we have:

The first President's Trophy winner to get swept in the first round
The first time both #1 seeds lost in the first round
The first time all of the division winners lost in the first round
The first time since 2012 that both of the previous Stanley Cup finalists lost in the first round
The 5th time that only two original six teams made the playoffs
The 2nd time that both Detroit and Montreal missed the playoffs

There is still a player who can win back-to-back Stanley Cups this spring, so if I watch the rest of the playoffs, I suppose I'll pull for his team.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

There's also a coach who can too.

It's my dream that every parade doesn't involve that school.

IIRC, they didn't actually have parades for the 2002 or 2014 titles. They instead did celebration rallies at the stadium.

How about the Crew, do you remember if they had a parade in 2008?

I don't recall a parade for the Crew. Just a rally downtown.*
And yes, the last two time the (only) OSU (that matters) won football "championships," they just celebrated in Ohio Stadium.

^ Thanks.

More to the topic at hand, the Blue Jackets took a 2-1 series lead last night

With the exception of the Whalercanes/Icelanders series, the remaining 3 series (assuming Colorado holds on to win tonight) will all go at least 6.  Going to be a fun week of hockey coming up.

here's what I'm loving up in denver.

the age of scoring core of the avs is right around 22.3. landeskog is the old man of the group at 26.  nate mackinnon is 23 and locked into a team friendly contract for another 4 years.

i think the glory days are back regardless of what happens this playoff season.

My brother lives in Denver, so I'm rooting for the Avalanche to make it out of the West, if not the Blues. As for the East...

Here some "politics-fiction" or should I said "sports-fiction". ;)

One journalist from Montreal imagined a pipe-dream where Joe Thorton from the Sharks meet his former team, the Bruins. https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2019/05/06/scenario-thornton-vs-bruins
Here the Google translation.

The Blues equalled the series.

20 years ago, Brett Hull scored to famous/infamous goal that allowed the Stars (who moved from Minnesota to Dallas in 1992) to win their 1st Stanley cup against Buffalo.

30 years ago, the Calgary Flames won the Stanley Cup against Montreal in the Montreal Forum, it was the 1st and only time then a visiting team won the cup at the Forum.

That they are...

Question is, will they get the job done, or choke on it? They are the Blues, after all
