This webpage goes back to an earlier 2023 installment of a traffic signal in Broussard that remains red until an approaching car slows down to a certain speed limit. To me personally it can only work on lightly traveled two lane roads, but the media in Montreal wants to bring it out again.  I'm guessing in this situation FRED is gone past the experimental stage with flying colors.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

The next segment of A-70 is under construction.  Construction of the whole project is scheduled to last through 2028.

Construction industry, at least in province of Quebec, is not the same than it was some decades ago; this section of freeway is about 4.3 miles, and will take over 5 years to be completed. Because when the MTQ says 2028, we can figure out that will not be January. A Quebec TV host said, some times ago, that if Quebec have to rebuilt James Bay complex, it would take a whole century.

This trend can also be seen in Europe, where projects that used to take 2 - 2.5 years now take 4 or 5 years (or 8-10 years in Germany and Switzerland).

I don't quite understand what's behind this. It's a recent phenomenon, mainly from the past 10 years or so.

They're talking about robotization and digitalization to boost productivity in the construction sector, but the opposite is happening.

More environmental or labor law regulations? Lower road spending as a percentage of GDP? Less productive workers? Complex contract terms?

Seems as though A-915 was commissioned on the Sortie 45 spur of A-15 in Saint-Jérôme, per the Atlas des Transports. I can confirm that it's unsigned as of last month, though.

Well, that's unexpected.  I never saw Legault as the highway removal type.
Me neither. For what it's worth, this is after one (1) accident resulting in the death of a family, which is the fault of a drunk driver going the wrong way at the Boulevard François-de-Laval intersection. Obviously the solution to this accident at an intersection is to put MORE intersections!

Reminds me of when Cuomo decided to solve a crash caused by a lack of guiderail with a speed limit reduction and replacing acceleration lanes with stop signs.

I guess the folks who pushed for Champlain Blvd "upgrade" into a scenic highway might have pushed the same for Dufferin-Montmorency.

Why haven't they done that by now?  I honestly don't understand why that at-grade exists.  It isn't that far from the adjacent interchanges and doesn't seem to provide access to anywhere they don't.

I'm in to dead end the F-d-L boulevard at boulevard Ste-Anne. It's not like the other interchanges were so far away.

Those protesters really said "let's half-ass this so people keep dying".

I doubt they would sing the same song if one of their friends or relatives was injured or killed. I stop here since my thoughts about these protesters aren't suitable for younger audiences.

The number of people who speed and do jank maneuvers on that segment of QC 132 won't go down with simple "safety improvements". Also, connecting A-20 needs to be done right, with a divided four-lane freeway, otherwise deaths will keep happening, like they do on the Rimouski segment.
