[Dirt Roads]

April 5 is National Read a Road Map Day!  Many of us old-timer Roadgeeks caught this bug when learning to read road maps.  At one time, my mother pushed me to start requesting official road maps from every state; even back in the day of 4-cent stamps the acquisition costs of 100 oversize envelopes (50 outgoing plus 50 self-addressed, self-stamped envelopes) was too expensive to pull off during childhood.  I probably collected only 15 or so maps in the process.  Oh, how I wish that I still had them.
