This has to be an error. SOUTH SR 17 sign on Campbell St S of Glass St. Campbell St turns in to Crest Rd a few blocks from this intersection.

Has any portion of SR 317 been decommissioned? There is no signage for it on US 11/64 (Lee Hwy) EB. There is a "TO 317<-- assembly WB.

There is no reassurance sign SB on Bonny Oaks leaving this intersection. The latest TDOT map Chattanooga inset is inconclusive on this. It is the first TN state map made with GIS, and its pure garbage. The line representing SR 317 randomly changes from red to gray. There are tons of other issues with it as well.

In the first link the arrow sign pointing right fell off sometime after 2016 per GMSV.

In the second, the TO 317 sign has been there since at least 2007 (GMSV).  The latest view Apr 2019 still shows a 317 west marker leaving TN 153 and the 0 mile marker at TN 17.  As for US 11-64 at TN 317, GMSV (Apr and Aug 2019 depending on roadway) shows 317 signage...is your question from being there in person and 317 signs disappearing?

The 2020 main map still shows 317 west of I-75.  The inset also shows US 11-64 with US 27 north of Chattanooga, so the map is junk.  The latest city map is 2007 and the latest county map is undated.  2019 traffic map still shows it.

Haven't been there since 2015. Was looking at GSV. The SR 17 signs placement next to the no trucks sign really made it look like it was meant to be there in that configuration. Technically, intersection route marker assemblies are supposed to be on the close side of the intersection at signalized intersections. As for SR 317, I was just wondering of the decommissioned the section from US 11/64 to SR 153, because more than one assemblies that should be there aren't ,and the one says "TO".

I think you mean TN 17 instead of US 11/64.  TN 317 is heavily posted in all directions where 317 runs into US 11/64 Lee Hwy by I-75.

Chattanooga (especially downtown) is terrible at route signage in places...

FIFY.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Yep. I made a mistake. Kinda odd that it happened a few days after I pointed out another poster's mistake, LOL. I think the reason for my mistake was that the TN 58/ TN 317 intersection looks almost identical to the US 11/64 / TN 320 intersection when you looks at the map
