Since nobody's posted a new entry, here's another one I took:

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."
—Olaf Kolzig, as quoted in the Washington Times on March 28, 2003,
commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

This is driving me nuts a lot more than I think it should be.   :banghead:

I'm glad one of mine was finally challenging!

Edited to add: It's close enough to 24 hours that I'll go ahead and give a hint. It's not in the USA. I know that narrows it down bigtime.  :)

Same here, although knowing that it's not in the US, I probably won't be banging my head like I figured I would be.

Correct! In July 2007 we were headed westbound from Louisbourg to the Keltic Lodge and stopped after crossing the bridge to take pictures. I had previously been across that bridge twice in 1982, but finding those pictures (if my father had any) would be much more difficult.

Took me a while to find it as I was focused on Metro Vancouver and then Quebec.

Here's my entry.

Most of my bridge photos are too easy, so I plucked this from GSV and cropped it. Probably still easy.

So I guess it's now my turn to post a bridge picture ...

I've never actually seen this one but I've always been intrigued by its unique look.

I'm gonna guess it's the Commodore Barry Bridge.

You're right.
Good educated guess, then. My first thought was the Goethals Bridge or the Outerbridge, but I quickly realized those had to be wrong due to the surroundings and that made it easier.

This one should be very easy for someone to get. I took the photo and I've always liked the way the bridge frames the image.

Correct, of course.

The buildings in the background should have immediately brought Vancouver to mind, but instead I got hung up on the Hampton Roads area, which ended up being a futile waste of time. I'll get another one right yet!

To me it would be more the mountains that would cause me to rule out Hampton Roads (setting aside that I obviously knew where it was since I took the picture, of course).

Wow, I actually completely missed the mountains. They were sneaky well-disguised. Goes to show how observant I am! :-D
