85 - 57 = 28 (This is on US-63 in Montezuma, IA — for whatever reason, IA-85 doesn't actually run through Montezuma. The state highway begins at the eastern city limit, not the junction with US-63, hence the TO banner.)

Shouldn't there be a bonus for 29 being doubled to 58? These two US routes meet in Danville, VA:
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

I actually really like this idea...in the Daily Picture Challenge thread I keep suggesting things involving simple math.  And since most route signs are posted in groups, save for junction signs and reassurance markers, this is a great idea.  I can tell some of the rules are inspired by my original post lol.  But I don't know why I would expect any different.  (I don't think anyone else on their own would care to use the word "interstitial" like I did.)

80 - 48 = 32 (IA-117 turning left into Colfax, just south of I-80; fun fact, CR-F48 used to be US-6 — that's what you'd see if you turned right instead of left at the pictured intersection)

67 - 34 = 33.  Southeastern Nebraska.  July 28, 2016.

Thanks! I'll admit to mostly copy and pasting your rules, but remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :sombrero:
