We're in Jacksonville and it's 47° but feels 41°. Last night it was colder here than it was at home and the wind made it hard to steer a straight line. Welcome to sunny Florida, huh? (I won't miss the sun today if it stays cloudy because we have another day of driving in front of us.)

I just want to point out that the temperature of 65° I had yesterday was a record high for December 21; the previous record was 61°, set in 1957.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Meanwhile, we haven't seen 65° here since December 2. Go figure.

It's mercifully sunny here today, about 45 now and headed for a high of 50. Average high is 52, so that's about right. It'll be mostly dry for the next few days, then it looks like we may get to finish 2018 with five straight days of rain. Certainly it's desperately needed; so far it's only been the 5th wettest year in recorded history here, and dammit, we expect nothing less than number one! (Kill me.)

Yeah my one and only big sister (who's staying at our house for about a week or so) said the same thing last night about it being colder here than it was at her home. And while driving to and from the airport in order to pick her up late last night, it was so windy that it was hard to steer straight for our dad and his Audi Q5.

Around 40 and partly cloudy today.

I missed your post about Jacksonville. Spent too much time trying to figure out how it could be that hot in DC in December.

38 and overcast.

and it doesn't look like there's any chance for a white Christmas here.

We're now in the Miami area, so perhaps it's a little cool outside. Supposed to hit 81° Thursday.

Usually at some point during the winter the DC area will have a couple of 70° days, but not usually in December.

Just arrived in Arlington for a couple weeks. I think this Saturday will be around 60. Not quite 70 but warmer than the 40 back in Seattle!

Mostly sunny and 55. One last nice day today before the sun bids us farewell until 2019, leaving us with another three or four inches of rain between now and the peach drop.

Possible bit of non-accumulating snow headed my way tomorrow night, apparently. But first a bit of nice, crisp winter weather.
