Cloudy here.  I had a tornado go just south of where I live.  I have not been out, but there is reportedly heavy damage.

Had a tornado watch in effect for most of last night. The biggest action for me came around 3 AM, when a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for me for a rotating storm with 60 mph winds.

No tornadoes touched down in the immediate Atlanta area, but Newnan (30 miles SW of ATL) got hit hard by what was probably at least an EF-3 tornado. A very rare tornado emergency was issued for that storm, which thankfully weakened before it reached Peachtree City and Fayetteville. Preliminary indications also suggest that a tornado touched down and crossed I-75 in Bartow County.

We had a tornado watch last night around 10:30 pm but sometime after 12:30 am the watch was canceled

Excellent weather for the next few days. Great timing, too, as it is coinciding with the start of Missouri's High School Track and Field season. 60s and sunny expected for the next week.

It's been a surprisingly warm and sunny March so far, but rain today.

Hopefully, today won't be as windy as yesterday.  When I went out for my usual lunch break walk at work yesterday, I could barely do it.  I'm tall and skinny, and I had to really lean into the wind.  Even then, I struggled to stay on the road.  It felt like at least 40-50 mph to me.  The top wind gust recorded at the east-side airport was 63 mph.

Kind of felt like Kansas!  (The wind here in Wichita usually isn't nearly as strong as it was where I grew up in northwestern Kansas.)

Snowing and very likely breaking the record for snowiest March ever recorded in Denver.  We needed 2.7" and looking at the patio table in the back yard, we're around 3.5-4".  It was 75 yesterday and supposed to get back up to 52 tomorrow and then 70 on Thursday.  I love our weather.

We're breaking records in the opposite direction: 2020 and 2021 battling it out for the least snowiest March on record, and it's not even close after those two. I mean, they're extreme outliers from everything else in recent history. This March has been more spring-like than the average April.

There couldn't be a more classic set up for a blizzard to drop three feet of snow come mid-May.

We'll probably get one more big one in April, but I checked yesterday and despite the huge March, the snowpack in the mountains here is almost dead on average compared to the past 20 years.  I always check that this time of year to figure out how early I can start climbing mountains without having to deal with postholing in hip-high snow.

We're getting a lot of that wind up here too, I think. Yesterday I went on my usual daily bike ride: I live in a small town a mile east of a US Highway and the town is in a valley. Going west, the short county route spur that connects to the highway goes uphill to the highway. The wind - unsurprisingly - was coming from the west. It was a fun ride westbound, and as soon as I turned back east to head downhill into town, I was off with no effort at all. I swear I was doing the speed-limit (30 on the last half of the stretch) due to the wind/hill combo. It was fun. Nearly shot across the stop sign in town though, misjudging how long it would take to slow down from that speed.

77 and partly cloudy. The two week forecast is insane to look at though, as every single day is either mostly cloudy or partly cloudy. The temperatures are about the same, too, with highs ranging from 81 to 86 and lows ranging from 62 to 70 (keep in mind this is the range for two straight weeks). The definition of a copy-and-paste forecast.
