Had a tornado warning this morning in Atlanta as a supercell with an impressive radar velocity and debris signature tracked through some of the western suburbs. Unfortunately, there have been several damage reports and at least one confirmed fatality through western Fulton and Douglas Counties. If there's any good news, from what I can tell looking at news and social media reports it looks like the worst of the damage was probably to industrial facilities rather than homes.

A tornado watch remains in effect for another hour, but there seems to be at least some possibility of severe thunderstorms lasting into the evening hours.  Then we might be looking at another tornado/severe threat tomorrow.

Pretty tropical the last 24 hours in Seattle. 60s and wet/rainy. All of the trees are filling in nicely.

Sunday was magnificent, and a great day to see the Skagit Valley tulips. Upper 60s, mostly sunny.

JayhawkCO

Yesterday it rained and sleeted all day.  Today barely a cloud in the sky and high of 60.

In my case, I specified "wet/rainy" because the rain amplified the high levels of humidity, to the point where even when it wasn't raining, it felt really wet.

I come from a normally low-humidity area, so pardon me if my explanations and reasoning are weird.

Sometimes rain clears out that "wet" feeling, and other times it makes it worse.

I can't remember any other year with such a great Spring here in Wichita.  For a few weeks now, we can just sit out on the front porch without worrying about the heat, the cold, or the mosquitoes.  That never happens around here for more than a couple of days at a time.

Similar here, except probably slightly colder, with temps in the 40's and 50's. I enjoy it, but some people think it's too cold to be outside.

Very wet weekend with about 4 inches of rain in the past 48 hours, which I appreciate for drought relief. I'm sure those on the southwest side of Houston aren't, though, as cities like Sweeny and Bay City have picked up about 15 inches of rain in the last 48 hours!
Just one problem about the rain; the mosquitos are back... with a vengeance. Some of the ones I saw this morning looked to be the size of love bugs. My fellow referee had at least 7 on his back at one time. I'd say Brazoria County is second only to Alaska in mosquito size.

Other than that, it was a nice day. Partly cloudy with a high of around 85, and no 90 degree days are projected in the next 10 day forecast (yippee!)
