This entire winter season, our lowest high was 20°F.

Our winter has also been warm.

QuoteThe average temperature between December and February, meanwhile, was 1.8 degrees Celsius. The UW weather station says that makes it the third warmest meteorological winter on record, just behind the years 2001-2002 and 1931-1932.

In Wichita, our lowest high was 6° F (-14° C) on January 14-15 this year.  That cold spell was very short-lived, however, and it has been a warm winter overall.

Out lowest high was 0° F on January 13th.

Other than that three day cold snap, our next lowest high was 21° F on November 25th.

Our first day of this season with a day that didn't get to 32° F or higher was October 30th. There have only been 10 such days out of a possible 129, for 7.8% of days.

Today and tomorrow are heavenly for mid-March, then it gets progressively worse heading into next week.

61° today and then expecting 8" of snow on Thursday. If you don't like the weather in Colorado, wait five minutes (or two days).

72°F and sunny right now in Wichita, and then expecting ... basically more of the same on Thursday.  The lowest temp in the upcoming forecast is Sunday night, and even that's just a few degrees below freezing.

I'll take it!

It was as high as 73 degrees where I'm at, with lots of sunshine today.

Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday are projected to be over 70 as well. Friday being a high of 76.

Snow forecast has moved up to 12-21" across the metro. And Spring snow here is the wet, sloppy stuff as opposed to the powder we get in February and before. Much more annoying to shovel.

72 today! Sadly, on Thursday it will drop again.
I am trying my best. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In Gunnison for the week. Only 1-2 inches of snow over the next two days, not much compared to Denver.

I'd also like to point out some of the weird place names that show up on that map.

Maybell, Karval, and Cope are strange choices.

Hey, I know Cope.  I remember it from childhood, as the town you'd better slow down for, because it drops to 35mph and that's where the town gets its revenue.

But you don't often have unincorporated CDPs with populations of 53 on a statewide map.

True, but it is useful from a driver's perspective.  The pickings are pretty slim on US-36 between I-70 and the Kansas state line.  Maybe Idalia would have been a better choice, but Idalia's weather would be more easily inferred from that of Burlington and Wray.

Now seeing a forecast where Evergreen is supposed to get 61". That's insanity.

hotdogPi

We continue to have a whole bunch of days above average. Climate says 44. Weather has at least that number for the next ten days, with several in the 50s and today at 61. Similar for the previous 10 days.

This time of year, high temperatures typically correspond with rain. Today at 61 does not.

I don't know if this is luck or what, since the previous summer also had more bearable temperatures than average (essentially a moderating effect), not higher temperatures.

I stayed the night near Salida and ended up getting about six inches of snow last night. The drive home should be... fun.

About 8" of snow so far here whereas the airport, about 14 miles from me as the crow flies, got nada. Seeing reports that some areas in the foothills are already up to 30".
