Personally, I usually go for tuna on wheat, with lettuce, cucumbers, black olives, mayo, and vinaigrette.

I have never actually eaten at subway before.

There's one at what seems like almost every truck stop.

Is "Jimmy John's" an option?

If you buy both a Subway sandwich and a Jimmy John's sandwich, and put the Jimmy John's sandwich on (or in) the Subway sandwich, then sure.

It's been quite a while since I've been to Subway. If I had to pick what I would put on a sub sandwich in general, probably ham, swiss cheese, lettuce, maybe tomato, mayo, and if possible, on toasted bread.

I go for Jersey Mikes as my fast food sub. Got sick of Subway very quickly at my previous job, was having it at least twice a week
The local weatherman, trust me I can be 99.9% right!

I still have a Quiznos down the block from me.  Way better IMO than Subway.

Subway's become weird.  At least in NY, their menus have become non-standardized.  Not all locations offer the same subs.  A loose speculation is that some locations don't want to offer the cheaper options (cold cut trio was an obvious difference)?  Discovering the recent menu differences has led me to hesitate to choose them.

I had a Subway down the block from my college apartment, and we ate it so often that since graduating I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've had Subway.

That said: Italian herbs & cheese, oven-roasted chicken, provolone, [toasted], lettuce, tomato, honey mustard.

Breakfast - steak and yellow egg on flatbread with spinach, tomato, onion, banana peppers, and chipotle sauce

Lunch/Dinner - Italian BMT with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, banana peppers, and chipotle sauce.  The bread varies from time to time.

However, for lunch or dinner I'd prefer Penn Station or Jersey Mikes.   Not a fan of Jimmy Johns.

As for veggie toppings, it's whatever I feel like that day.  Usually cucumbers, sometimes spicy peppers and/or tomato and/or other stuff.

Really, though, I prefer most all other sub shops to Subway.

Is there anyone who doesn't feel this way?

My eldest son.

That might be the result of not having been to many other sub shops.

Or not having adult taste buds.

Or both.

My wife prefers Firehouse Subs.
I prefer Jimmy John's.
Our eldest son prefers Subway.
I can't remember offhand about the other two boys.

Deciding where to go for sub sandwiches is not easy.

I found DiBella's DiSappointing.

That's a Rochester staple, but I haven't been there in ages. Amiel's and Wegmans are the go-to these days.

I have been wary of Wegmans' subs.

Bad experience?

I have never had any issues with them, although I always order at the time. Never tried the pre-packaged ones.

Nah.  Just don't think it's as good a deal as could be had elsewhere.
