It appears to be just passing through on the way to another system.  It obvious its not from our solar system and came from another and is going to another through our space.

It is thought to be an interstellar comet.  They are thought to be quite common, this is just the first actual example that has been confirmed, well at least at this point they are pretty certain that it is not in a solar orbit.
