It all depends on what type of Interstate you're referring to. Currently (according to Wikipedia), the shortest signed 2di as completed is I-11 between Boulder City and Henderson, NV at 2.5 miles, with the southern I-87 between Raleigh and Wendell, NC clocking in at 10.4. As far as 3di's go, I-110 in TX is 0.9 miles long, and I-375 checks in at 1.06.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Also, when concerning the shortest 2di that is not under construction and new (like I-87 (southern), I-11, I-14, etc.), then the answer is Interstate 97.

In fact, that is exactly why I-97 is so controversial among us roadgeeks - because it is way, way too short to be a 2di.
Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.

The shortest 3-di is unsigned, same with the second shortest 3-di. The shortest is I-878 which runs between I-678 and JFK Airport. Second shortest is I-315 in Montana which runs from I-15 into Great Falls. The shortest signed 3-di is I-110 which runs from I-10 to the Mexico border in El Paso. Currently the shortest 2-di would be I-11 only running 2.5 miles in Nevada but that won't last. I-87 in North Carolina is only 10 miles long. I-97 is the shortest 2-di that is completed at 17 miles long. So really the shortest Interstate is I-878 in New York and the shortest signed Interstate is I-110 in Texas.

I-97 is exactly the same length as I-220 around Shreveport. I count 102 3-di's that are longer than I-97.

I-238 is about 2 miles in Northern CA, the shortest interstate in CA to my knowledge.

I seen it when I went to Oakland as a child in the 1990s and it amazed me there's a really short route in the US interstate system.
Get your kicks...on Route 99! Like to turn 66 upside down. The other historic Main street of America.

I checked, and yes it is.
Is that one new?

kurumi.com never mentioned the 110, also i looked up the i-11 and i was wondering why does it exist?

There's bigger long range plans for it. See the I-11 thread here and google is also your friend.

Makes California's I-238 seem as long as I-90!
