New Traffic Signals

What are some new traffic signals (new within the last five or ten years) in your area?
I don't mean existing signals that got replaced, I mean locations where there was previously a different means of traffic control, such as a two- or four-way stop.

NY 286 (Atlantic Ave) and Jackson Road used to be a two-way stop on Jackson with no traffic control on Atlantic Ave. The growth in traffic volumes, due to the eastward expansion of suburbia, warranted this install long ago, but it appeared around 2011 (IIRC).

Hard Road and Publishers Pkwy is now signal-controlled, much to my surprise. It's needed a signal forever (due to school/pedestrian traffic, which, increasingly, enters/exits from the east end of the parkway), but there must have been some safety concerns which finally prompted the install within the last couple of months.

Any others?

Is this a county installation? I notice the pushbuttons are non Draft PROWAG compliant and the detectable warnings aren't up to NYSDOT spec. No backplates is also pretty unusual for a recent installation.

NYSDOT didn't start using cast iron for detectable warnings until a few years ago, and those sidewalks appear to be at least a decade old given the street view (actually, those detectable warnings look like they held up well, given their apparent and and that they're plastic).  The shape is a little weird, but keep in mind that sidewalks are often locally installed, even on NYSDOT facilities.  The push buttons also match the era of the signal; I don't think I've seen the modern ones with the arrow and constant audio until recently.

For some reason I assumed the sidewalk landings were installed concurrent with the signal. I was commenting on how the detectable warnings didn't extend for the length of the blended transitions, but considering that's only a Draft PROWAG recommendation and NYSDOT standard and not an ADA requirement, it's not surprising that they'd leave it alone.

Also, looking into it, APS was not recommended at all signals until the 2011 Draft PROWAG. This installation was probably right around the borderline before the 2011 guidelines were put into effect.

There's going to be a lot of entries for this.  For Chicagoland, there's a lot more than I have listed so far:

Cook County
* Roselle Road at Hoffman Plaza (between IL 58 and IL 72 in Hoffman Estates; four leg with side street stop to signal)
* Roselle Road at Bethel Lane in Schaumburg (side street stop T-intersection to signal)
* Meacham Road at the WB I-90 ramps (new ramps built)
* Barrington Road at I-90 (partial free flow interchange turned into a full-access SPUI)
* Barrington Road at Old Church Road in Schaumburg (four leg with side street stop to signal)
* York Road at I-90 (partial free flow interchange rebuilt into a full-access DDI)
* IL 58 at commercial driveway east of Mount Prospect Road (new development)
* IL 43 at commercial driveway north of Golf Road (new development)
* think LaGrange had a new one somewhere at a school

DuPage County
* Plainfield Road at Bailey Road (T-intersection with driveway across from the stem with side street stop to signal)
* Could be a few more depending upon how the signal changes with Thorndale Avenue corridor changing to IL 390 with frontage roads is counted

Kane County
* Plank Road at Burlington Road (T-intersection with side street stop converted to four leg intersection with signal)
* Randall Road at Longmeadow Parkway (side street stop T-intersection changed to four leg signal)
* Longmeadow Parkway at Sleepy Hollow Road (four leg, two way stop converted to signal)
* IL 31 at Bowes Road (new intersection)
* IL 72 at Big Timber Road (four way stop to signal)
* US 20 at Big Timber Road (two way stop to signal)

Lake County (IL)
* IL 132 at Fairfield Road (four-way stop to signal)
* IL 173 at Kilbourne Road (four leg side street stop to signal)
* US 12/IL 59 at Sullivan Road/Mollidor Road (four leg side street stop to signal)

McHenry County
* Curran Road at Bull Valley Road (side street stop T-intersection to signal)
* US 20 at Prospect Street in Marengo (T-intersection with side street stop to signal)
* IL 31/Algonquin Bypass at North Main Street (new bypass constructed)
* IL 31/Algonquin Bypass at IL 62 (new corridor with new diamond interchange)
* IL 31/Algonquin Bypass at South Main Street (new bypass constructed)

There's a temporary signal at U.S. 69/160/400/K-171 south of Pittsburg, Kan., which had been a four-way stop. This signal is only going to be there until a permanent one are built. It was put up because of an expected increase in traffic once the casino at that intersection opened (although the parking lot has its own new light at an entrance about 1/4 mile to the north). An odd thing about the 69-160-400-171 signal that the signals were originally installed vertically but were changed to horizontal after a couple of months.

Removed a roundabout in North Las Vegas on Carey Ave a few years ago and converted it to a traffic signal:

There's one on Lawrence in front of the Art Van in Harwood Heights that's relatively new (it was erected but not yet functional in April).

Yep, in fact a mere two miles from the location of that stoplight, is a new sidewalk installed by the Town of Penfield, right along NY 286 (spanning the length of the new Windsor Ridge housing tract).
