Known for big hits such as "Let the Good Times Roll"  and "Tonight She Comes" .

I heard he was divorced/estranged/separated after the Cars got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Too bad.

They were estranged but not divorced, the way I understand it.

Incorrect about the latter.  The late Benjamin Orr sang the lead on that one.

So another Cars member dies.   Two this week in the music industry, who will make number 3 to fulfill the old saying "Things happen in threes?"
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

There was singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/daniel-johnston-enigmatic-singer-songwriter-with-a-bittersweet-touch-dies-at-58/2019/09/12/bf939132-d569-11e9-9343-40db57cf6abd_story.html?outputType=amp

And if we include singers-songwriters who work in other languages, Philippe Pascal a member of the French punk band Marquis de Sade also passed away.

Among household name musicians, I think Kenny Rogers would be most likely as he's been sick for a while and reports came out in May that he was close to death.
Other possibilities include (most of them have been sick recently):
Willie Nelson
Randy Owen (lead singer of Alabama)
Randy Meisner (Eagles)

A little morbid (and kind of tacky) to theorize random folks that might die next, isn't it?

Since when has that stopped anyone from posting such items on here?
Please, don't sue Alex & Andy over what I wrote above

I have all of The Cars' albums, as well as all of Ric Ocasek's solo albums save the first. R.I.P. to a great musician.

This is sad news to hear. The Cars are a great band, and yesterday I listened to their debut album in its entirety for the first time. It's a great listen, and I highly recommend it. Rest In Peace to Ric Ocasek, and we have lost another music legend.
