Uneventful few days, rained half an inch the few days. Dry spell this weekend.

Updates unless special events in October to May: Sunday and Wednesday at 11PM PST/PDT.

It's around 40 degrees with some light rain. This is notable only because the majority of metro Atlanta schools are closed due to a fear that there would be some freezing rain this morning (didn't happen, it was slightly too warm).

The rest of this week should finally feature some more normal January weather for around here with highs in the 50s (and even unseasonably warm mornings in the 40s and 50s thanks to lots of cloud cover and some more rain toward the end of the week).

There was some freezing rain this morning here in Dalton, Georgia, so I have gotten out of school for all of today. The temperature right now at this very moment is 38 degrees.

Bleak forecast for Seattle. Highs in the upper-40's to mid-50s. Lows in the upper-30s and low-40s. Showers or rain most days, with the occasional partly-cloudy gap.

ET21

After two weeks in the freezer, mid 50s are possible Thursday! Then we crash back into the 20s and could have a decent snowstorm

Hurricane Rex

Rain has been back for a few days and the wind is arriving tomorrow but sounds like a typical northwest windstorm at least for now.

Threatening a record high of 61 degrees before a cold front sends a flash freeze and our temps crashing 30 degrees in a couple hours time. Rain to freezing rain to sleet to snow with 30-40 mph winds. Yay Chicago weather

Kind of weird to see the birds walking around on a frozen lake when it's 58° outside (it's now 61° an hour later).

Not enough to walk on, certainly (note the area with no ice out towards the middle there). Over near one of the bridges out of the picture to the right there are some decent-sized rocks on top of the ice where people presumably threw them to see if the ice would break, but I have no idea how thick it actually is.

No joke: exactly one inch of rain today (1.000 inches on my weather station). Peak gust in the 30s. Made for an interesting tempo run though.

Yay for upstate NY weather, and yay for lake effect snow, too. Temps are in the 50's now, but 10-18 inches of snow forecasted for tonight into tomorrow.

roadman65

Ours is been cold compared to other winters.  We had a week full of high temps in the 50's, and only the last few days we are back in the 70's.

So instead of getting part of that global warming, we have gotten some cooling instead.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Global warming is global, not regional. 1934 was the hottest year in the United States (excluding Alaska) until the record was broken in 1998. However, 1934 was no different from its surrounding years worldwide.

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

Heh.  Maybe an inch if snow in eastern NY.  That lake effect nonsense is for western NY.
