The one I saw on Star Wars Day in Massachusetts was different, although it was still about littering. It said that only the Sith litter. It was on an 8×3 instead of a 15×3, which might have been why it was different.

HEAT STROKE KILLS
CHECK THE BACK SEAT

Yeah, right. I forgot I had the kid with me. But I'll remember to check the back seat just in case there's a kid in there.

Sadly, there is a target demographic for that sign that needs to be reminded.

Michigan does it again:  Travel information for an inaccessible route.  This is a year-long roadwork project.

And yet again!  I'll be looking at this one for the next month.

Seen yesterday on a temporary VMS at the entrance to the eastbound weigh station on I-85/I-40 near Mebane, North Carolina:

NY has some interesting VMS messages right now.  There's "ghost your phone while driving" and "hocus pocus drive with focus".  But my favorite is the one we're using in Region 1: "slow down in work zones my mummy works here".

IDOT:

   DRIVE SOBER

I think IDOT is going for a literal definition of "ghosting" - kinda dark, even for Halloween!

Indeed, I just came here to mention these.

I haven't seen the mummy one yet, but earlier this week Rochester area VMS's had:

A SEATBELT CLICK // STAY ALIVE TRICK

... which took a couple of rotations for me to fully comprehend what I was reading, LOL.

The last one belongs in Giza.

TheCatalyst31

WisDOT is using "hocus pocus drive with focus" too. I wonder how many states are using that one.

roadfro

NDOT was also using "Hocus pocus. Drive with focus" this week.

Another one used in both Reno and Vegas this week: "Leave the flying to witches & bats. Watch your speed."
